About

Abigail AdamsAbigail Adams had a profound impact on the founding and early days of our country. Although she was not formally educated, she made it her mission to inform herself using all the tools she could acquire. Despite being self educated, her opinions were insightful and highly valued by her husband, the second president of the United States, John Adams and her son, the sixth President, John Quincy Adams. Her spirit of intellectual curiosity inspires us today to become fully informed and engaged in the election process at all levels for the benefit of our country as well as ourselves.

The Abigail Adams Project (AAP) is a national non-partisan voter education effort that is designed to impact how candidates are elected. We provide voter guides across the United States of America that focus on the candidates' views about their Constitutional roles and responsibilities related to their desired office. No party affiliations are listed on The Voter Guides. This way, voters are able to inform their choices based on the candidate's positions rather than their party affiliation.

Our Goals:

  • Empower the electorate through education through non-partisan Voters Guides
  • Produce and promote a climate of civically responsible citizens
  • Create a demand by voters for elected or appointed officials in all branches of government to fulfill their oaths to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution. Therefore, all participants in governing must have a comprehensive working knowledge of the United States Constitution
  • Foster an atmosphere of Constitutional literacy out of a network of Constitutionally aware citizens and organizations which then bring the civic concern topics back into the public sphere (i.e. homes, schools, churches, community, workplace, and media)
  • Avoid duplication. Patriot organizations can work in concert, each assuming different roles in the education of our citizenry. Each role should fit together, as puzzle pieces, creating a complete and cohesive picture of civic responsibility.

The Abigail Adams Project is an organization focused on education, citizenship and empowerment and is made up of a diverse group of patriots who share the desire to re-found our country on Constitutional principles. We recognize the great legacy of our founders and its our desire to preserve it through educating the electorate.

How AAP Works:

The Abigail Adams Project creates productive partnerships with a large cooperative network of liberty organizations throughout the nation. Through these relationships, AAP seeks to serve patriots and patriot organizations across the country.

AAP volunteers collect information from candidates who have, through their Supervisor of Elections, qualified to run for office. The information is transferred into Voter Guides that will be available online for viewing, downloading and printing. The non-partisan format allows all patriots to confidently distribute The Voter Guides in their precincts before the election and on election day at the polls.

For strategic reasons, we provide candidate information based on the following

  • States where we have State Coordinators
  • Counties where we have County Coordinators
  • Candidates that have qualified to run for office
  • Contested Races*

The non-partisan Voter Guides can often be distributed in forums where partisan or candidate information is typically not welcome, thereby offering the candidate information to a wider audience. Also, by allowing candidates the opportunity to offer well thought-out responses to our questions, The Project offers candidates an opportunity to truly explain their position and philosophy. This is the process through which we become better educated on whether or not the candidate truly represents us, the electorate.

* In the situation of an uncontested race, the Abigail Adams Project may not include candidate information in The Voter Guide.
