Project History
The Abigail Adams Project was founded in January 2005 by Kimberly Fletcher, President of Homemakers for America, as a volunteer-based program with the goal of providing information on candidates so citizens could make an informed decisions when voting. From January, 2005, to March, 2011, the Abigail Adams Project was overseen and operated as a project of Homemakers for America, Inc.
Since its inception, and especially during the 2010 elections, the project grew at such a pace that the logical progression of the project was to operate as a stand alone organization.
On March 7, 2011, the board of Homemakers for America voted unanimously to separate the Abigail Adams Project from Homemakers for America. The project now operates as a separate organization under the leadership of Deborah Ringhaver Lane, former Vice President of Homemakers for America, and Executive Director of the Abigail Adams Project. The board of Homemakers for America believes that under Deborah's leadership, the Abigail Adams Project will continue to grow and be a valuable tool for all patriots in the years to come.
